Pentecost
Bible verses to read together: Acts 16:9-15
Jesus had told his disciples that they would do even greater works than He had done because He was going to the Father (see John 14:12). At Pentecost (the time when God sent His Holy Spirit), Jesus' ministry dramatically expanded; and afterwards, disciples traveled all over the known world, preaching the good news that God was reconciling the world to Himself through Christ's death and resurrection.
PRAY: Dear God, thank you for sending us your Holy Spirit. Amen.
