Bible Story: Luke 2:1-20
This Sunday the children will learn that Christmas is about God choosing to be with us. Emmanuel! They will learn there are several names for Jesus. Savior, Redeemer, Messiah and Emmanuel. Emanuel means "God with us". They will also learn that people need Jesus because, people make mistakes. Without Jesus, people would need to be perfect to be with God. Together as a family talk about how this Christmas, how will you choose to follow Jesus?
Children will receive an Advent calendar today. Put it somewhere prominent in your home and remember to have them open a door every day (they'll have fun opening several at once for the days they've already missed in December.)
